Long-Term Trends in Stream and Lake Parameters

Stream nutrient trends over ~30 years. Nitrogen levels have decreased over the entire timescale. Phosphorus has a more variable trend. Suspended sediments have decreased until recent years.

Conservation tillage and lake measurements over time. Nitrogen has an overall decrease and phosphorus is more variable. Gizzard shad have been increasing P excretion over time. The dashed lines indicate changes in conservation tillage trend on all graphs.
